REGULATED LONG-TERM STORAGE OF BIOLOGICAL & PHARMACEUTICAL MATERIALS
BioRepository Resources, LLC (BRR) is an independent specialty contract services company that is focused entirely on regulated long-term storage of biological & pharmaceutical materials.
BRR was founded in response to the ever-burgeoning marketplace for the storage of research materials. In addition to simply managing floor space for the exponential increase of such material, Life Science companies have been continuously trying to optimize their inventory management systems.
BRR, we are dedicated to addressing all of these needs by utilizing the appropriate SOPs in a GXP environment.
Many of your 3rd party storage providers really couldn’t tell you exactly what they have in their freezers! In addition, they may not be able to confirm the actual storage conditions of these samples over an extended period.
At BRR, our industry compliant procedures and technology will ensure that all of this information is managed accurately and securely.
Partner with BRR and let us manage your inventory in accordance with the expected industry standards.
BRR is certified under the Small Business Set-Aside Act and Minority and Women Certification Program.
BRR is a member of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER).
The BRR Organization
BRR’s management team has Pharmaceutical / CRO experience. This experience has laid the groundwork for a client focused approach to the contract pharmaceutical service business.
Our objective is to provide Life Science companies with a reliable, secure and economical alternative for all of their off-site biological, retention sample & pharmaceutical storage requirements.
Relationships with key decision makers in the Life Science Industry, as well as a fundamental understanding of the research regulatory requirements, make BRR a logical choice as your sample storage partner.
Our objective is to provide a secure and economical alternative for long-term biological and retention sample storage. BRR provides a viable option for companies evaluating preferred partner relationships for ambient to ultra-low temperature sample storage.
An Extension of Your Research Facilities.
Storage units occupy huge footprints of precious lab space. When you look at the costs associated with the manual labor and the energy requirements for the long-term storage of pharmaceutical research materials, it just makes sense to secure an economical, reliable alternative. A Regulated Operating Environment.
All biorepository activities are conducted under strict standard operating procedures, and regular quality control reviews. Internal back-up systems are in place for all aspects of the business. Repositories of biological samples, and their inventory databases, are critical components of pharmaceutical research.
At BRR we manage our facility with the highest regard for “The Best Practices for Repositories.”
With an exponential increase in the number of biological samples generated over the past decade, it is clear what the future holds for repositories.
The purpose of a biorepository is the safekeeping of biological materials. Therefore, the proper security systems should be employed to address this aspect.
The operation of all freezers and refrigerators is routinely monitored and the temperature of each storage unit is recorded continuously.
It’s a well known fact that biorepositories require a constant source of electrical power. It’s also a well known fact that at some point in time, commercial power will fail, temporarily. As a result, a reliable backup power system is critical.

Sample Storage: Inventory Managed Properly!
“As the demand for pharmaceutical research increases, compounded by more stringent regulatory requirements, the need for reliable, accountable repositories is critical.
Put your biological storage needs in the hands of a company dedicated to this aspect of your research—BRR.”
Glenn Bullett, President and Co-founder of BioRepository Resources, LLC.
“BRR does what they say they are going to do without fuss, confusion, or drama. Their costs are reasonable, and their service is excellent”.
“This has been a partnership spanning over several years and we have absolutely no reason to look elsewhere for storage”.
White Paper: Simulated Freezer Failure
Based on available literature detailing the loss of frozen research material, researchers have not provided details about the rate of temperature loss in the affected ULT units. Often, these failures occur on weekends when staff are not present in the lab to hear the freezer alarms. In addition, monitoring systems required to safeguard this valuable material have either not been implemented or have not functioned properly to alert staff, remotely.
